I always link my clients up from my home page when they come onboard or their Website is completed.
One thing I have noticed in the past couple of years is how fast a new clients Website will appear in search engines
when linked from the home page of my Company Website.
Usually within one week, their Website will appear in Google.
I think this leads credibility that Google still takes linking in to consideration but it must be a prominent link.
Given the fact that I have been indexed for something like 10 years, it may help. A search engine spider is going to
eventually find a new Website but I have been impressed at how fast it finds them once I link them from my home page.
If you can get your Website linked from another popular Website in a prominent place then it may do a world of
good for your search engine rankings. It may not need to be a 10k per day site. Just a site that has been around
for a while.
