A consumer action law firm by the name of Kabateck, Brown, & Kellner
has filed a class action lawsuit against Network Solutions for Domain Front Running.
Domain Front Running is a process that Network Solutions has incorporated in to their Website where they put a five day
hold on domain names that people search for that are available. This stops the consumer from buying the domain name
from anyone else but them until four days pass.
Network Solutions had to see this coming and it did not take a genius to realize that this was exactly what was going to happen.
The logic behind letting it get to this point are beyond me.
Their practices, which I was introduced to a few weeks ago when I got black balled from buying a domain for a client,
are unbelievably unfair to the consumer. Make sure you do not use Network Solutions to check for available domain names
unless you plan on buying them there. Hell, just avoid them all together.
